CREDIT UNION 1 is seeking a full-time Teller in Springfield, IL to provide financial and account services with confidence and professionalism. You will process deposits and withdrawals, open new accounts, and assist with loan questions, while actively cross-selling products to members.

The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and teamwork within a branch environment, with a focus on meeting sales goals and maintaining confidentiality of member information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proven sales experience or abilities.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• NMLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility and accountability in following all service standards set forth by the credit union; provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
• Perform teller duties: process member transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Assist members with opening and closing accounts, and address and resolve member problems, inquiries, or complaints.
• Assist applicants with consumer and mortgage loan applications and questions; explain loan programs, options, and requirements. NMLS is required.
• Promote the credit union’s products and services based on member needs and identifying opportunities; actively participate in developing new business for the credit union.
