Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician III (RTT III) at the Brenham State Supported Living Center. The RTT III provides habilitative and rehabilitative services, supports therapists, and helps implement treatment plans within a team-based setting.

Requirements include a valid Texas driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and relevant experience with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least six months of work experience with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities or in therapeutic work.
• Experience in applied behavior analysis, sensory integration, music therapy, therapeutic recreation, dance/movement therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, or vocational rehabilitation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly implements treatment plans through hands-on methods and monitors goals.
• Assists in development and evaluation of treatment plans.
• Schedules and provides staff training to Direct Support Professionals.
• Maintains data collection and reports to the interdisciplinary team.
