Responsibilities

• Maintain treatment areas and equipment, and keep an inventory of therapy supplies.
• Perform routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is 60-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

How You’ll Contribute

The Rehabilitation Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist and as directed by a licensed physician, is responsible for a specific patient’s care. The Rehabilitation Technician carries out these responsibilities in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. Other responsibilities of the role include:

• Ability to Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in the patient room, Therapy Gym and other common areas of the hospital.
• Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
• Prepares, cleans and maintains treatment areas and equipment.
• Procures and keeps an accurate inventory of all therapy supplies.
• Performs routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department.
• Other duties as assigned.
