Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital in Springfield, MO is seeking a Nurse Technician to join our part-time day shift team. You will assist with hygiene, mobility support, vitals, and routine nursing tasks while helping patients through admissions, transfers and discharge under supervision.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification is required
• Six months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Education: High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provides general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment.
• Assists with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.
• Takes and documents vital signs and measurements (temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, BP, intake/output).
• Assists in patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings.
• Maintains a clean and comfortable patient environment.
• Responds promptly to patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

A Nurse Technician who excels in this role:

• Performs basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
