Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield, operated in conjunction with Lifepoint Health, seeks a Rehabilitation Technician. You will assist therapists, transport patients, and help prepare treatment areas as part of a fast-paced rehab team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, CPR/BCLS certification, and strong communication skills. Prior acute or long-term facility experience is preferred; a supportive environment emphasizes patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• CPR/BCLS Certification.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in their room, therapy gym and common areas.
• Prepare patient for prescribed treatment and assist staff with treatment.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment, and keep an inventory of therapy supplies.
• Perform routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department.
