Location: Lewiston, Maine

We are open Monday-Thursday, 8 am-6 pm.

Rehab Techs play a crucial role in our organization, working under the supervision of various therapists to support individuals with acquired brain injuries. Your responsibilities will include assisting participants in educational and rehabilitation activities, helping them improve communication and cognitive functioning. Additionally, you'll enhance their independence by assisting with life skills such as personal hygiene and cooking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with recreational therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, neuropsychologists, and mental health counselors to understand participant needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to participants during rehabilitation activities.
  • Assist participants in re-learning essential life skills to promote independence.
  • Work closely with participants to improve communication and cognitive functioning.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Maine state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and automobile insurance meeting minimum state requirements.
  • A background check that meets Goodwill NNE criteria for this job.
  • Occasional availability outside regular business hours for special events.
  • Ability to document within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Travel within the workday, including driving clients in a Goodwill vehicle.
