Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Burr Ridge is seeking a patient-focused Therapy Aide to assist PT/OT teams with plans of care and equipment setup across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include patient instruction, safety, front-desk tasks, scheduling, and maintaining a clean, stocked clinic. CPR certification and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required (offered through Duly Health and Care).
• Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Understand principles, as well as contraindications/precautions in the use of therapy modalities.
• Can identify proper patient setup and adjust equipment.
• Identify movement planes and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.

Responsibilities

• Patient care, support, and guidance.
• Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.
• Set up and adjust exercise equipment.
• Deliver modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs).
• Educate patients on exercises with demonstrations and cues.
• Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
• Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.
• Support clinic flow and manage patient arrivals and scheduling.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinic and equipment.
• Order supplies as directed by Manager.
• Handle front-end tasks including check-in and payments.
• Coordinate with PT/OT and Chiropractic teams regarding insurance benefits.

Position Highlights

• Burr Ridge Physical/Occupational Therapy
• Full-Time, 40 hours/week
• Hours: Monday-Friday; hours vary between 7:00am-7:00pm; must work two evenings until 7:00pm
• Travel: Expected to travel other sites for coverage needs

Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
• Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
• Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.

• Monitor patient arrivals to department.
• Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.
• Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager.
• Front end tasks
• Perform necessary front-end tasks including but not limited to check-in, co-pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.
• Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits.
• Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed).

Qualifications

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.10-18.00 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
