Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Services Technician for our Acute Care team. This full-time day-shift role (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm with rotating weekends) supports patient care under licensed rehab professionals and helps maintain a safe, organized care environment.

You will communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team, perform essential modalities, and handle administrative tasks to keep the unit running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
• Experience in clinical/rehab setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient care areas, equipment and supplies according to facility policy.
• Assists with patient care under guidance of a licensed rehab professional and demonstrates core modalities.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and team members; completes administrative tasks.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Rehabilitation Services Technician Responsibilities:

The Rehabilitation Services Technician adheres to facility policy in the maintenance of patient care areas, equipment, and supplies. Assists with the patient care under the guidance/direction of a licensed rehab professional while demonstrating essential skill competencies in the use of patient care modalities. Communicates effectively via written and verbal communication with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts. Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
