Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Rehabilitation Assistant to support the Rehabilitation staff in patient care and to bolster department operations in a busy clinical setting.

You will assist with therapy treatments as directed, transport patients and equipment as needed, and take on non-patient tasks such as preparing and cleaning the work area, stocking supplies, and performing clerical duties while adhering to HIPAA and all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to read, write and perform basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and reliability

Responsibilities

• Assists Rehabilitation staff with therapy treatments as directed and in accordance with department policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines, which may include transport of patients, records, equipment or supplies. (60%)
• Participates in non-patient care activities to facilitate efficient functioning of the department such as preparing and cleaning the work area and equipment, clerical support activities, maintaining inventory, and participation in program development and staff education. (40%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
