Department of Economic Security (DES) in Arizona seeks a Rehabilitation Services Technician to support the Rehabilitation Services Administration. The role involves briefing applicants on Vocational Rehabilitation, scheduling orientations, and assisting clients with appointments while coordinating with vendors and community services.

The position offers hybrid work within Arizona, with a Minimum two days in the office and opportunities to work remotely part-time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state laws governing Vocational Rehabilitation.
• Guidelines and best practices for Vocational Rehabilitation programs.
• Disabilities knowledge and available community resources.
• Proficient with MS Office, Google Suite, internet apps and email.

Responsibilities

• Assist counselor with case management and team support.
• Interview applicants and document disability and sociodemographic information.
• Maintain up-to-date client files and progress notes.
• Provide referrals to community organizations and services.
• Communicate appointment reminders to clients and coordinate scheduling.
• Explain Rehabilitation Services Administration programs to applicants.
