Job summary

Adventist Rehabilitation in Rockville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Rehabilitation Unit. You will educate patients and families, mentor staff, and apply evidence-based practices to improve care. The role requires active Maryland RN license, BLS, and 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards.
• Use equipment correctly and delegate non-nursing duties when appropriate.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective actions.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspectives.
• Perform literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in evidence-based changes.
