Job summary

Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Rehabilitation Unit. The RN will educate patients and families across the continuum of care and mentor junior staff while upholding Adventist HealthCare values.

The role requires a Maryland RN license, active BLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by specialty, with a night shift schedule and weekend expectations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care and advance knowledge with guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and uphold Adventist HealthCare values.
• Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency.
• Develop a care plan according to patient population and condition changes.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
