Boomerang Healthcare is seeking an Authorization Coordinator to manage the complete authorization workflow in Modesto, CA. You will ensure prompts, accurate processing, and HIPAA compliance in all activities.

You will communicate with providers and health plans daily about UM and referral authorizations, handle faxed or call-in requests, and maintain tracking for deferred authorizations with diligent follow-up. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication is essential.
• Typing speed of 45+ wpm required.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Proficient use of Windows XP, Word and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Execute all aspects of the auth process promptly and accurately.
• Interact with providers and health plans regarding UM and referral authorization issues.
• Process faxed or call-in prior authorization requests.
• Handle approved, denied or deferred requests and bring to resolution.
• Maintain deferred authorization tracking and follow up.
