Universal Healthcare MSO, LLC is seeking a Referral UM Coordinator Level I to support the Utilization Management team with prior authorizations and eligibility checks. The role is onsite in Bakersfield, CA, with standard hours and occasional alternate schedules to cover after-hours needs.

The position emphasizes accurate processing, coordination with health plans, and contributing to patient care continuity while adhering to policies and procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in health care or related business environment preferred.
• General knowledge of EZCAP preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiency required.
• Completion of vocational program in medical assisting, medical front office, or medical billing and coding preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately processes medical authorizations according to policies.
• Basic CPT/ICD9/ICD10 and HCPCS knowledge relevant to billing/authorizations.
• Interpret and communicate complex contract or benefit language.
• Communicate effectively with internal/external staff and providers.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of information in EZCAP and related systems.
• Coordinate with UM leadership and clinical teams for timely authorizations.
