Zusammenfassung

Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) seeks a Rehabilitation Assistant for our Clinton, Iowa office. This role supports individuals with disabilities through intake, assessment, job placement, and ongoing coaching, progressing toward independence.

We offer full-time hours, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with hybrid telework options after six months of employment and training completion. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of full-time work experience in a human services field involving customer service or handling confidential information.
• Two years of full-time work experience as a legal assistant/paralegal, medical office assistant, or job coach.
• Combination of two years of education and full-time experience as described above, with 30 semester hours equaling one year of experience.
• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch with 18 months of direct client/customer service in a clerical or administrative role.

Aufgaben

• Greet and guide job seekers, explaining programs and services.
• Assist applicants with referrals and applications; no prior experience required.
• Schedule intake appointments and lead orientations for new participants.
• Provide Job Seeking Skills Training and run Job Club sessions.
• Conduct mock interviews and offer one-on-one support to candidates.
