Job summary

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) seeks a Rehabilitation Assistant I - Sr RA in the Vocational Rehabilitation Department at 1215 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX. The RA assists VR Counselors with services to help customers achieve successful employment outcomes and provides information about VR programs and referrals.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with strong planning, organizing, time management and communication skills, and be able to prioritize work independently to meet goals;

Qualifications

• RA I requires 1 year full-time experience in human services and a high school diploma; 30 semester hours may substitute.
• RA II requires a four-year degree plus 1.5 years experience; additional education substitutes allowed.
• Sr. RA requires a four-year degree plus 2.5 years experience; 30 semester hours may substitute for each year of education.

Responsibilities

• Assist VR Counselors by providing intake information and program referrals.
• Maintain case files and prepare reports using the electronic case management system.
• Coordinate with providers, customers, and staff to support eligibility certs.
• Participate in Vocational Rehabilitation Services training.
