Job summary

Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) seeks Rehabilitation Assistant I to Senior Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Rural Capital Management Unit 3-1 in the Vocational Rehabilitation Division. Located at 575 Round Rock West, Round Rock, TX, this role supports VR Counselors and assists customers with information on programs and services.

Ideal candidates are detail oriented with strong planning and communication skills and can work independently to achieve goals. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• RA I requires graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent plus one year of qualifying experience in case management support, purchasing and knowledge of disabilities.
• RA II requires a four-year college degree with related coursework plus 1 year 6 months of qualifying experience.
• RA III requires a four-year college degree with related coursework plus 2 years of qualifying experience.
• Sr. RA requires a four-year college degree with related coursework plus 2 years 6 months of qualifying experience.
• All levels allow substitution of 1 year of work experience for each year of education.

Responsibilities

• Performs entry-level to journey-level human services/rehabilitation support work.
• Maintains caseloads and reviews electronic case management forms/files for accuracy.
• Collects information for intake/profile processes.
• Maintains relationships with providers, customers and staff.
• Prepares/reviews reports for accuracy on monitored services.
• Provides casework support to VR Counselors in eligibility certification.
