Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Therapy Aide to support therapists and care teams in scheduling, patient flow, and treatment setup. You will handle daily scheduling tasks, maintain charts, and assist with wound care and rehab activities under supervision.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, teamwork, and adherence to safety and infection-control standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 6–12 months volunteer or paid experience in a Rehabilitation setting.
• Knowledge to assist therapists with adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Excellent customer service behavior.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Internet access.
• Effective English communication in writing and speech.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• LA City Fire Life Safety Training; if no card, obtain within 30 days (LA City only).

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with scheduling and related administrative tasks.
• Prepare and update patient scheduling tags and referrals.
• Transcribe and distribute schedules to nursing units.
• Support with setup/cleanup and patient treatment assistance.
• Maintain forms, logs, and equipment cleanliness.
• Orient new staff and registry to required forms daily.
• Assist with treatment both in wound care and rehab areas.
• Prepare charts and ensure documentation accuracy for next day.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department Director/Supervisor.
