Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior clinical-based experience requiring interaction with patients.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Possession of a high school diploma.
• Possession of or proven eligibility for CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Treats patient under the direct supervision of an Occupational or Physical Therapist.
• Assists therapists with patient care activities.
• Assists the therapist with discharge planning.
• Plan, coordinates and distributes patient schedules.
• Responsible for the transport of patients to and from therapy.
• Prepares, maintains and transmits accurate patient care records as required, including services rendered and progress notes.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, department staff and UCSF personnel.
• Demonstrates time management in patient care and clerical duties.
