Job summary

Cupertino Healthcare & Wellness Center is seeking a Therapy Aide to assist in patient activities under supervision of therapists and the Director of Rehab. You will help prepare treatment areas, transport patients, and support exercises and daily living tasks.

The role requires basic reading, math, and verbal communication skills; a high school education is required. Healthcare experience is a plus and you will work in a team-oriented rehab environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read written direction and comprehend verbal instruction.
• Perform basic math tasks and write/perform keyboard and computer tasks as needed.
• Verbal communication skills required to accomplish the job.
• High school education or comparable credentials; healthcare field experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment directed by supervising therapist or DOR.
• Transport patients to and from the therapy department.
• Assist patients in preparation for treatment, dressing, and use of braces/orthotics.
• Carry out treatment programs and assist with ambulation as directed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and maintenance of strength and endurance.
• Handle housekeeping duties in the therapy department as assigned.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned by therapists or DOR.
• Assist therapists in obtaining equipment for patient use as needed.
