Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV seeks a Rehab Support Technician to assist in the rehabilitation environment. You will help with patient mobility, transport equipment, and clerical duties under supervision of licensed therapists.

This is a per diem, on-site role supporting daily operations in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, setting up diagnostic studies, cleaning and reprocessing equipment, and assisting with therapeutic modalities, vital signs, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Experience: none; applicants with physical disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transporting of equipment and supplies.
• Clerical responsibilities.
• Ordering and stocking of therapy supplies.
• Assisting therapists with patient mobility and activities of daily living as directed by the licensed therapists.
• Assist with higher level balance activities, as directed by the licensed therapists.
• Directing patients in therapeutic exercises/activities as directed by the licensed therapist.
• Set up and assist with diagnostic studies.
• Perform high level disinfection and reprocessing of endoscopes and maintain infection control standards.
• Set-up and performance of therapeutic modalities (including Mechanical Traction, Electrical Stimulation, and Paraffin).
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of therapy equipment.
• Assist in scheduling and check in/check out procedures for patient appointments/schedules.
• Taking and recording vital signs as directed by the licensed therapist.
