Job summary

Tulare-Healthcare- is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care and contribute to the therapy department's outcomes. A sign-on bonus is offered with this role.

The clinician will deliver evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborate with physicians and families, and document services in medical records to support regulatory and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SLP evaluation and treatment for medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to supervise assistants and aides; familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong communication with families, physicians, and health team members.
• CPR certification and California licensure requirements for practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop treatment plans, obtain physician approvals, and document progress.
• Educate families and staff on follow-through programs and patient goals.
• Document evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Collaborate with rehab team and discharge planners; ensure safe care practices.
