Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment; strong phone skills and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures; ability to learn scheduling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in the registration system and collect demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule rehabilitation appointments as ordered by physicians or designees.
• Verify benefits, pre-authorizations and authorizations for services with insurers.
• Communicate with patients and caregivers about financial liability and deposits.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, therapists, physicians, and insurers as needed.
• Enter data into EMR and maintain accurate documentation.
