Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehabilitation Unit on a full-time 0.9 FTE (72 hourspp) schedule. The role includes night shifts from 7p to 7a with rotating weekends and holidays, focusing on plan-of-care, assessments, and collaborative care to restore independence for patients in a 16-bed inpatient rehab unit.

Qualified candidates possess a Michigan RN license, an associate degree in nursing (bachelor's preferred), and BLS-HCP certification.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program (bachelor's preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
