Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the staffing pool for med/surg, neuro/ortho/peds, rehab and cardiac units. The role offers 0.9 FTE with 12-hour night shifts and a $7,500 sign-on bonus, based on meeting eligibility.

One year nursing experience is preferred; Michigan RN license and an associate degree are required. After one year in staffing, opportunities to train for ICU/ED exist within Lifepoint Health.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
• One year nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
