Job summary

Riverview Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to ensure high-quality patient registrations by collecting accurate demographic, billing, insurance and financial information. You will interact with patients, clients and referring providers to support quality care.

The role requires strong accuracy, ability to schedule efficiently, and maintaining positive relations under pressure across Noblesville Rehab and Fitness and related locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years of customer service experience.
• Experience in Patient Access Registration in an acute care hospital or physician office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of patient registrations and collect complete demographic, clinical, billing, insurance, and financial information.
• Schedule patients and clients accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain positive patient and provider relations and prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Identify accounts needing escalation and refer to management when needed.
• Communicate with insurance companies for precertifications and authorizations.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies for the department.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all processes.
• Assist in training other Patient Access Associates in duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
