Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Rehabilitation Patient Access Specialist Float 1 to cover multiple locations in the Chicago area. Hours are M-Th 6:45am–7pm and F 6:45am–5:30pm, with early and late shifts depending on staff availability, across Glenview, Evanston, and other satellite sites.

The role involves front desk reception, patient check-in, scheduling, and coordination with departments to ensure timely patient access and accurate records in EPIC.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in front office with computer experience.
• High School graduate
• Successful completion of EPIC training for scheduling and registration

Responsibilities

• Acts as receptionist for the department, greeting staff and customers.
• Answers department telephone calls politely and relays messages.
• Maintains patient scheduling, registrations and corresponding documentation.
• Manages the Department Appointment Report (DAR) in EPIC.
• Schedules, confirms, and reschedules patients for visits.
• Coordinates department invoices/purchase requests.
• Maintains supplies and handles daily reconciliation.
