Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a regulatory affairs professional to collaborate with senior management to develop filings and strategies in support of company goals. You will work with subject matter experts to prepare filings and testimony, coordinating compliance across jurisdictions.

In this role you will advocate the company’s positions with regulators, draft discovery responses, and build key messages for external and internal audiences. Hybrid work model with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 5–7 years of regulatory field experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and regulatory filings processes.
• Overnight travel and overtime may be required.
• Experience with regulatory filings and testimony preparation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, compile and edit regulatory case filings.
• Prepare clear written explanations of complex issues.
• Advocate company positions with regulators and stakeholders.
• Draft and edit testimony for regulatory proceedings and hearings.
• Coordinate regulatory compliance activities across jurisdictions.
• Prepare discovery responses and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Communicate with senior management on filings and issues.
