Willson International Limited is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to serve as a senior subject matter expert providing timely and accurate regulatory guidance to a diverse client base. The role emphasizes ownership, independence, and collaborative teamwork to achieve comprehensive results.

Responsibilities include auditing programs, handling regulatory inquiries, and overseeing CBP-related duties across land, air, and ocean shipments.

Qualifications

• Ten years’ Customs Brokerage experience in a consulting, regulatory or similar professional services capacity.
• US Customs Brokers License is required.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from start to finish, including developing and launching Audit Program.
• Present the Regulatory Specialist Spotlight.
• Oversee the NCBFAA MOU program for Willson International Inc employees.
• Prioritize and respond to regulatory/technical client inquiries with urgency.
• Advise on classification, valuation and import requirements; complete tariff opinions.
• Vet documents for CBP/compliance; handle CBP forms like USMCA certifications.
• Assist with post-entry work and administrative refunds as needed.
• Stay current with upcoming regulatory changes impacting clients.

KeyQualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years’ Customs Brokerage experience in a consulting, regulatory or similar professional services capacity.
• US Customs Brokers License is required.
• High School Diploma required. College and or University Degree in Business Administration is an asset.
• NCBFAA Certified Customs Specialist is an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of CBP and PGA import requirements is required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products – command of Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written is required.
• Problem solving, accuracy, attention to detail and analytical ability is required.

Descriptionof Role

We are seeking a Regulatory Specialist to act as a senior subject matter expert, responsible for providing timely and accurate advice to a growing and diverse client base. A strong sense of ownership and pride over principal duties is required. This role continually provides opportunities to work independently and collaboratively to achieve entire perspective results.

Principal Accountabilities & Duties

• Ownership of projects including, but not limited to:
• Developing and launching Audit Program
• Completing and presenting “Regulatory Specialist Spotlight”
• Overseeing the NCBFAA MOU program for Willson International Inc employees
• Prioritize and respond to incoming client inquiries of a regulatory or technical nature. Willson International operates within land, air and ocean environments. Requests often require urgent or same day turnaround.
• Advise on the classification, valuation and import requirements of merchandise. Complete and accurate tariff opinions including duty rate and AD/CVD scope checks are routine. Research and advise on FDA, Agriculture or other PGA import requirements
• Vet documents to ensure compliance with CBP and all other regulatory agencies. Some examples include Powers of Attorney, USMCA Certification of Origin and other routine import documents.
• Post entry work may be required. Examples include USMCA claims, Post Summary Corrections and administrative refunds as required.
• Application or maintenance of Continuous Surety Bonds.
• Stay current with upcoming regulatory changes impacting the Willson International client base
• All other duties as assigned

• *Salary range for this position is $88,000-$100,000 based on experience and qualifications*
