Job summary

Schonfeld is seeking an Associate to join the Regulatory Reporting team in New York. You will run and shape regulatory disclosures across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with Compliance, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Technology.

Responsibilities include executing filings (SEC, CFTC, FCA, MAS, etc.), building data quality rules, documenting processes, and coding (SQL/Python) to automate workflows. 3–5 years in a buy-side or related setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance/accounting/economics or STEM; CPA/CFA a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience at a buy-side firm, consulting agency, or managed service provider.
• Experience with regulatory reports like Form PF, CPO-PQR, Annex IV, 13F, 13G, 13H, Form ADV, MAS surveys.
• Foundational programming skills in Python and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Understanding of hedge fund strategies and asset classes (Equities, Futures, Options, FX, Bonds, Swaps, Credit).
• Strong written and oral communication skills; thrive in a fast-paced multi-PM environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute on key recurring and ad hoc regulatory filings and ownership disclosures (SEC, CFTC, FCA, MAS, etc.).
• Design, implement, and monitor data quality rules to ensure the accuracy of regulatory filings.
• Write detailed business process documentation and calculation specifications for regulatory filings.
• Understand, execute, and contribute to code (SQL/Python) to aggregate datasets and automate processes.
• Understand datasets available for reporting and scope out which datasets are appropriate for the given filing.
• Interface with internal partner teams and external vendors to build reporting processes and infrastructure.
• Perform ad hoc data analysis to answer questions from partner teams and regulators.
