Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP seeks a Practice Group Manager (PGM) for the Regulatory and Enforcement Global Practice Group to support strategic, operational, administrative and talent‑management needs across offices. The role includes developing and executing strategic plans, improving processes, and advising Global Practice Leaders and PATs on priorities.

You will coordinate reporting, recruit and onboard, manage projects including AI initiatives, and serve as a liaison with Marketing, Knowledge

Qualifications

• Candidates with consulting, strategic and operational experience or related law firm experience.
• Proficient in law firm economics, attorney incentives, staffing dynamics, and overall practice operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for the GPG by building relationships with GPLs, PGHs, partners, associates and staff.
• Organize practice group meetings and develop communications materials and meeting documentation.
• Work with GPLs, PGHs and Accounting to design customized reporting.
• Assist in creating and driving strategic objectives and initiatives; stay informed on industry trends.
• Support cross-practice or firm-wide initiatives and monitor referrals.
• Collaborate with Marketing/Business Development to prepare client value or post-engagement reports.
• Manage special projects such as operational improvements and AI initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison for other departments (Learning & Development; Knowledge Management; Marketing; Accounting).
• Track utilization to guide staffing or talent decisions including recruiting.
