Job summary

Exponent is seeking a Managing Scientist for the Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice. Location is flexible within the United States. You will lead projects, manage regulatory and technical work, identify new clients, and grow the consulting practice with senior staff.

The role requires 5+ years in EPA TSCA regulatory work and consulting or government regulatory experience, with strong communication and project-management skills. A BS is required, MS/PhD preferred, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of EPA TSCA regulatory experience.
• Five (5) or more years of consulting or government regulatory experience.
• Strong background in regulatory compliance and risk assessment.
• Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing regulatory compliance and risk assessment support for product stewardship and sustainability projects.
• Developing clients through business development and marketing efforts.
• Client management and project work; interacting directly with clients and regulators.
• Managing and tracking client projects, project deliverables, invoices, and budgets.
• Providing regulatory and technical review and quality control support for projects.
• Synthesizing technical and regulatory information for clients and regulators.
• Providing scientific technical peer review.
• Mentoring junior staff.
