Job summary

The Florida Department of Children and Families in Tallahassee seeks a Regulatory Specialist III – SAMH CS to ensure substance abuse treatment programs comply with state laws, rules, and licensing standards.

This non-telework role requires knowledge of Chapter 397 F.S. and CFOP 155-31, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to travel locally. You will review applications, monitor providers, generate reports, and coordinate with AHCA and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or social sciences, or relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Experience in regulatory or contract auditing preferred.

Responsibilities

• License, monitor, and evaluate treatment programs for regulatory compliance per statutes and guidance.
• Review provider applications, monitor locations, and license providers yearly.
• Generate Monitoring and corrective action reports as required.
• Develop proficiency with PLADS.
• Monitor licensure payments in PLADS and ensure accuracy.
• Oversee designation/re-designation of facilities under applicable laws.
• Utilize time management, conflict resolution, and communication skills daily.
• Contribute to statewide licensure calls and collaborate with partners.
