Job summary

The Financial Analyst, Regulatory Finance at Brenntag provides essential operational, analytical, and compliance support for tax and regulatory reporting across North America, ensuring accurate data, strong controls, and audit-ready documentation.

You will reconcile data, partner with SSC and Corporate Tax, maintain templates, support audits, and help drive process improvements, KPIs, and dashboards in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or finance operations.
• Familiarity with tax-related financial data (sales/use tax, etc.) is helpful but not required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems; exposure to tax engines or reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate data for sales tax, use tax, excise tax, property tax, and income tax filings.
• Perform reconciliations and data validations for regulatory data sets.
• Partner with the SSC and Corporate Tax to resolve data issues and support timely regulatory submissions.
• Provide financial data and documentation to third‑party compliance partners.
• Maintain standard templates, coding structures, and data tools used in regulatory finance reporting.
• Support internal and external audits with data collection and analysis.
• Coordinate business license, permit, and registration data needs.
• Assist in KPI and dashboard development for regulatory finance.
