Brenntag is seeking a Financial Analyst, Regulatory Finance to deliver accurate regulatory data and support tax filings across North America. You will collaborate with SSC, Corporate Tax, and legal entities to ensure audit-ready outputs and continuous improvement of controls.

The Financial Analyst, Regulatory Finance provides essential operational, analytical, and compliance support to the Manager of Finance, Regulatory, ensuring the delivery of accurate, consistent, and timely financial data for tax and regulatory reporting across North America. This role strengthens the regulatory finance function through disciplined data preparation, reconciliations, process controls, and cross‑functional coordination with the SSC, Corporate Tax, and North America legal entities. The analyst ensures high‑quality financial outputs that uphold Brenntag’s compliance standards and support the Manager of Finance in maintaining a controlled, audit‑ready environment.
Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or finance operations. Familiarity with tax‑related financial data (sales/use tax, exercise, property tax, etc.) is helpful but not required. Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems; exposure to tax engines or reporting tools is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Experience supporting finance or tax operations within a multi‑entity or shared‑services environment. Exposure to data governance or process standardization activities. Experience with tools such as Power BI, Qlik, OneStream, Vertex, or Avalara. Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose automation or simplification opportunities. Experience using workflow tools, macros, or BI dashboards to streamline reporting. Understanding of data governance principles (data lineage, ownership, quality rules). Ability to troubleshoot data flow issues across ERP, tax engines, and reporting tools. Familiarity with master data structures (GL, product taxability, customer tax profiles). Ability to communicate clearly with SSC, Corporate Tax, legal entities, and commercial teams. Skilled in translating technical data requirements into clear instructions for non‑finance stakeholders. Ability to produce ready documentation with clear narratives, version control, and traceability. Ability to analyze regulatory data patterns and proactively flag inconsistencies or risk indicators. Understanding of how tax rules impact financial data structures and reporting logic.
