Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking a documentation and records specialist to maintain controlled documentation systems and support regulatory compliance. The role focuses on electronic records retention, classification, and adherence to procedures established by regulatory agencies.

The candidate will interpret and enforce formatting standards, maintain submission components, and coordinate assembly of regulatory dossiers as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: listed programs and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains a controlled documentation system, record retention, and information services functions including electronic records retention processes.
• Ensures compliance to the requirements from regulatory agencies.
• Interprets and enforces documentation formatting, standards, policies, and operating procedure requirements.

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree

NNS Apprentice School graduate

Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

Associate's Degree or 2-year program + 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt experience

Military Paygrade E-5 or above

High School/GED + 4 years Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades/Military experience (exempt)

High School/GED + 8 years Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades/Military experience (non-exempt)
