Job summary

The Agency for Health Care Administration in Florida is seeking a Regulatory Specialist I to manage licensure and federal certification data for health care facilities and providers in the state. This role involves tracking surveys, creating survey reports, and ensuring timely updates to required systems.

You will also coordinate data reporting, maintain databases, and support scheduling in line with state and federal rules. Weekend or holiday work may be required for mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize microcomputer equipment and software to enter, retrieve and manipulate data required to perform licensure and certification functions.
• Ability to organize, maintain records, filing systems, and inventories.
• Ability to use, store and retrieve input information.
• Ability to prepare reports, and reviews data for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effectively working relationships with others.
• One year of general office experience.
• One year of documented computer experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain database for licensure and federal certification of health care facilities and providers.
• Track requests for initial surveys; annual surveys, follow-up visits and complaints investigations.
• Create survey reports, develop letters, and ensure all required components of survey reports are completed.
• Update data in VERSA and retrieve OSCAR reports.
• Collect data and prepare routine or special reports as required by the supervisor.
• Coordinate ASPEN updates and report system problems to the Central Office ASPEN coordinator.
• Scanning and quality assurance work in Laserfiche.
• Maintain current information of division policies and processes routine matters within established policies.
• Establish and utilize a tracking system for monitoring licensure status to create survey schedules.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Work during weekends or holidays as mission essential.
