Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Team Lead Business Analyst - LFI Lead Analyst to guide a project team focused on Large Financial Institution readiness. You will ensure data requirements align with Reg YY and related regulations, and oversee governance, quality, and compliance initiatives.

You will review BRDs, develop test cases, execute testing, identify defects, and partner with technology to remediate issues. Strong leadership and banking regulation expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of banking experience with internal audit, capital, liquidity, or public accounting advisory.
• Working knowledge of Reg YY and related regulations (e.g. FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15).
• Strong data analysis tools knowledge (SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
• Expertise in data modeling, data validation, and database design.
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team within Business Data Governance for LFI readiness.
• Ensure data requirements meet Reg YY and related regulations.
• Develop and implement data governance policies; manage data quality and compliance.
• Review Business Requirements Documents; create and execute test cases and identify defects.
• Collaborate with Data, Technology and Business teams on data mapping and requirements.
• Mentor analysts and drive a high-performance team.
