Job summary

Primergy, a developer and operator of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects in the United States, seeks a Manager, Regulatory Compliance to safeguard operations under federal, state, and regional rules. You’ll lead and implement compliance programs across FERC, NERC, ISO/RTOs, and market protocols, collaborating with legal, operations, and asset management teams.

You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate regulatory filings, audits, and contractor management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business, or Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy regulatory compliance.
• Experience with portfolio and asset level regulatory risk analysis.
• Deep experience in wholesale power markets (CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO) and market rules.
• FERC regulations, NERC standards, and state regulatory frameworks familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements from FERC, NERC, ISO/RTOs, and state agencies across multiple wholesale power markets.
• Ensure compliance with solar and BESS asset protocols.
• Lead regulatory filings, reports, and certifications timely and accurately.
• Develop and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Conduct periodic regulatory risk assessments across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with asset management, operations, legal, and commercial teams.
• Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and market operators.
• Track regulatory changes and assess impacts on projects.
• Support market participation activities, including registration and testing.
• Manage 3rd party compliance contractors and minimize external reliance.
• Provide training to internal stakeholders on compliance standards.
