Securian Financial Group seeks an experienced Director of Regulatory Compliance to lead and evolve its enterprise regulatory program. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this role shapes how compliance partners with business lines and enables responsible growth.

You will build upon a strong foundation, lead transformation, and advance data-driven risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in compliance, risk, legal or regulatory roles.
• Significant experience in the insurance industry.
• 5+ years of leadership experience leading leaders and teams.
• Experience influencing senior leaders across multiple business areas.
• Experience navigating complex regulatory requirements and providing practical guidance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with credibility

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise regulatory compliance program and a ~20-person team.
• Provide oversight across life insurance, annuities, securities, complaints and monitoring.
• Partner with business lines to identify regulatory risks and develop practical mitigations.
• Evolve operating model with clear responsibilities and accountability.
• Strengthen proactive risk identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation.
• Oversee policy creation, training, tools and monitoring practices.
• Translate complex regs into practical business guidance.
• Anticipate regulatory developments and emerging risks, respond proactively.
• Develop future compliance leaders and sustain long-term capability.
