Job summary

The Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee seeks a Government Operations Consultant I to evaluate licensees and ensure regulatory requirements are met for licensing treatment centers or testing labs.

This professional role performs initial reviews, identifies missing documentation, maintains electronic case files, tracks cases, and generates reports to support management. Proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Two years of professional experience reviewing documents for compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Associate degree preferred in a related field; Experience with licensing/regulatory processes is a plus.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of data systems and electronic tracking is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial reviews of all assigned cases from treatment centers and testing labs for regulatory compliance.
• Identify missing documentation and draft correspondence as needed.
• Review data in the electronic tracking system for accuracy and coordinate with staff and supervisors.
• Create electronic case files and ensure they are up-to-date.
• Track all cases in the electronic tracking system and monitor response dates.
• Organize files and complete management support tasks.
• Generate and analyze reports and assist with developing guidelines and tools for the review process.
