The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the US Department of Defense Military Health System (MHS) formed the Military Health System Strategic Partnership American College of Surgeons (MHSSPACS) to improve educational opportunities, systems-based practices, and research capabilities in surgery. The strategic partnership launched December 2014 and will facilitate collaboration and the exchange of information between ACS and MHS to advance high-quality, cost-effective care for surgical patients.
The Membership Programs Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and programmatic support to the Manager, Military Health System Strategic Partnership (MHSSPACS), with primary responsibility for supporting the Excelsior Surgical Society (ESS) (approximately 60% of the role), and to the Associate Vice President, Member Services, with a focus on Member Affinity Programs (approximately 40% of the role). The coordinator collaborates closely with ACS Fellows, ESS members, volunteers, and internal and external stakeholders to manage the ESS membership lifecycle, implement annual programmatic initiatives, and develop and execute the ESS Clinical Congress events. In addition, the coordinator manages and promotes the ACS Affinity Programs that enhance engagement and deliver value to Fellows and members across all career stages.
This exempt position will report to the Manager, MHSSPACS, and coordinate with the Associate Vice President, Member Services. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $56,650 - $63,000 (commensurate with related experience).
