Job summary

FINRA is seeking a Quantitative Analyst in Regulatory Operations Analytics to plan and execute analytics projects across their lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define approaches, scope analytics with quantitative methods, and ensure objectives are met, promoting advanced analytics for regulatory programs.

You will mentor analysts, engage with senior management, and contribute to data strategy and automation efforts while working in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, or similar quantitative discipline with 6+ years of related work experience.
• Experience in advanced analytics using ML, data mining, or NLP is preferred.
• Familiarity with Big Data processing and platforms is desirable.
• Strong knowledge in Python, R, SQL, or SCALA.

Responsibilities

• Promote the use of advanced analytics and insights for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Lead business engagement activities including soliciting use cases, user feedback, training, etc.
• Contribute to development and enhancement of FINRA’s cross-market surveillance program.
• Deliver analytics capabilities across delivery teams to solve critical business problems.
• Drive availability of data, tools, and infrastructure to support experiments and development.
• Respond to ad hoc requests to support business objectives.
• Define data collection approaches for analytics-based systems and third-party data integration.
• Devise and implement automation of the predictive pipeline for regulatory efficiencies.
• Participate in enterprise-wide strategic planning to expand analytics capabilities for regulatory programs.
