Join a respected energy consulting firm supporting utilities, municipalities, and cooperatives across the U.S. This remote position involves approximately 50% travel to client sites, regional stakeholder meetings, and industry conferences.

As a trusted advisor, you will handle complex electric transmission policy issues, including interconnection, planning, FERC filings, and cost allocation strategies. You will collaborate with senior leadership and be involved in regulatory monitoring, policy development, and providing expert testimony.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert on FERC transmission policy and interconnection rules.
• Monitor FERC filings and summarize key developments for clients.
• Represent clients at RTO/ISO stakeholder meetings.
• Support or lead expert witness testimony at FERC and state regulatory commissions.
• Provide strategic guidance on transmission planning, cost allocation, and policy advocacy.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced energy consultants.

Requirements:

• 7–10+ years of experience in the electric utility industry, focusing on transmission operations, planning, or policy.
• Deep understanding of FERC OATT and interconnection policies.
• Experience with RTO/ISO stakeholder processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Public Policy, Pre-Law, or Management.
• Strong communication and analytical writing skills, capable of contributing to regulatory filings or ghostwriting testimony.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
