KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions in Richmond, VA seeks a Regulatory & AHJ Manager to lead regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local authorities for a multi-billion-dollar greenfield pharmaceutical project. You will coordinate permits, inspections, and approvals, ensuring alignment with project timelines and safety requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ experience with regulatory agencies, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience managing permitting and regulatory approvals for large industrial or pharmaceutical projects.
• Experience supporting greenfield capital projects exceeding $500 million TIC.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, fire and life safety requirements, environmental regulations, and utility coordination.
• Experience working with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies; excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement the project’s regulatory compliance strategy across federal, state, local, environmental, building, fire protection, occupational safety, pharmaceutical, and utility requirements.
• Act as the primary AHJ liaison with building departments, fire marshals, environmental agencies, utilities, health departments, and other authorities.
• Lead planning, submission, tracking, and closeout of permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals with alignment to schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, architecture, and design teams to ensure designs meet codes and regulatory expectations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory and permitting risks; develop mitigation and escalation plans.
• Manage regulatory inspections, AHJ reviews, site visits, audits, and corrective actions; maintain regulatory documentation system.
• Provide regulatory readiness updates and support CQV/startup activities for facility turnover and operations readiness.
