Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Product Regulatory Manager to lead regulatory compliance for a global industrial product portfolio, ensuring safety data sheets, labeling, and market access. You will head the team, drive data-driven improvements, and partner across functions to support launches and risk management.

You will oversee domestic and international regulations (TSCA, REACH, CLP, Prop 65), manage SDS and product labels, and optimize regulatory software and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, regulatory affairs, or related field.
• 6+ years of industrial product regulatory experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of TSCA, OSHA HCS/GHS, REACH/CLP, Canadian DSL, Prop 65, EPR/PPWR.
• Experience evaluating regulatory requirements for materials, formulations, labels, packaging and product changes.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems and Lisam SDS software.
• Experience improving regulatory data workflows, dashboards, reporting tools, integrations, or automation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support launches by providing compliance information and handling inquiries.
• Manage external consultants and partnerships, and assist budget planning.
• Establish and report regulatory readiness and risk metrics.

Job description

Seeking a Product Regulatory Manager for a highly-visible opportunity to lead product regulatory compliance for a global industrial product portfolio while improving the systems, data, and processes that support the function.

This person leads the team and day-to-day regulatory program, ensures compliance across domestic and international markets, evaluates emerging requirements, improves processes and efficiency, and partners across the business to manage risk, support product launches, and maintain market access.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop the Product Regulatory team, establish priorities, allocate internal and external resources, and ensure department goals, service levels, and compliance requirements are met.
• Ensure products comply with applicable U.S. and international chemical, health, safety, environmental, labeling, packaging, transportation, reporting, and producer responsibility requirements.
• Evaluate regulatory requirements for new products, raw materials, formulation and packaging changes, and entry into new markets, including determination and communication of raw material and finished product regulatory status.
• Monitor emerging regulations, assess potential business impact, cost, timing, and risk, and provide clear recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead the development and maintenance of safety data sheets, product labels, hazard communications, registrations, notifications, transportation documentation, and required regulatory reporting.
• Maintain accurate, traceable regulatory data and documentation while improving regulatory procedures, review standards, approvals, and controls.
• Administer and improve regulatory software, SDS authoring platforms, data workflows, dashboards, reporting tools, and system integrations, including opportunities to automate recurring compliance work.
• Partner with IT and business functions to improve regulatory data flow across ERP systems, websites, customer documentation, and other enterprise platforms.
• Review marketing, technical, safety, legal, and customer-facing materials for regulatory compliance and recommend whether products or materials should be introduced, modified, restricted, reformulated, or discontinued.
• Partner with Purchasing, R&D, Safety, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to support product launches, obtain compliance information, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain market access.
• Manage regulatory consultants, producer responsibility organizations, software providers, testing resources, and other external partners, and support departmental budget planning.
• Establish compliance metrics and communicate regulatory status, open actions, risks, and readiness to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
• 6+ years of industrial product regulatory experience, preferably involving formulated chemical products or industrial consumables, including at least 3 years of supervisory, team leadership, and regulatory program responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international chemical and product regulations, including TSCA, OSHA Hazard Communication and GHS, REACH and CLP, Canadian DSL, California Proposition 65, chemical inventories, transportation requirements, and packaging and extended producer responsibility regulations such as EPR and PPWR.
• Experience evaluating regulatory requirements related to raw materials, formulations, safety data sheets, labels, packaging, transportation, and product changes. Previous experience with industrial inks, coatings, paints, and/or lubricants strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, familiarity with ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred), and in-depth experience with Lisam SDS authoring software and chemical compliance platforms.
• Experience improving regulatory systems, product data workflows, dashboards, reporting tools, integrations, or automation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and people leadership skills with the ability to assess risk, make practical recommendations, and manage changing priorities.

Compensation:

• Base salary: $110,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience. Bonus-eligible.
