Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc is seeking a Product Compliance Regulatory Manager to act as regulatory SME for a complex chemical portfolio, with emphasis on TSCA and EPA requirements, collaborating with Legal, IT, Commercial, Sales and Supply Chain to manage compliance risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Regulatory Affairs, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in chemical product regulatory, regulatory compliance, chemical manufacturing/distribution, or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of TSCA, EPA regulations, and U.S. chemical regulatory requirements.
  • Experience interpreting regulations and translating requirements into practical business processes.
  • Experience with regulatory agencies, audits, enforcement matters, or complex compliance issues.
  • Experience cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Commercial, Sales, and Supply Chain teams.
  • SAP/S/4HANA experience strongly preferred, particularly involving regulatory data or process controls.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, high-risk situations and balance regulatory, customer, and business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own key chemical regulatory programs with TSCA and EPA focus.
  • Ensure products can be purchased, transported, sold, and used compliantly.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements into practical guidance, processes, and controls.
  • Assess compliance requirements related to vendors, products, customer applications, contracts, and product data.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to integrate regulatory controls into SAP S/4HANA.
  • Identify regulatory risks and implement controls to prevent compliance exposure.
  • Lead or support responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, Notices of Violation, and enforcement actions.
  • Serve as liaison with EPA, DEA, and external consultants.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Commercial, Sales, Supply Chain, and others to resolve compliance issues.
  • Maintain ownership of regulatory commitments, corrective actions, documentation, and agency follow-up.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and training to internal stakeholders and strengthen compliance culture.

As the Product Compliance Regulatory Manager, you will serve as a regulatory subject matter expert responsible for ensuring product and business compliance across a complex chemical portfolio. With a strong focus on TSCA and EPA requirements, you will partner with Legal, IT, Commercial, Sales, Supply Chain, and regulatory agencies to manage compliance risks, resolve complex regulatory matters, and embed compliance into business processes and systems.

This role requires strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to make practical decisions in complex and high-risk regulatory situations.

What you'll do

What you'll need

Where you'll work

This is a hybrid position. Preference for candidates located withing reasonable commuting distance of Univar Solutions office locations.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is USD $121,340 - $182,010 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's proven experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this role is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
