Job summary

SGS, a global leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification, seeks a Regulatory Affairs professional for the US market. This role focuses on desktop services and retailer program onboarding, with supervision of regulatory personnel and compliance reviews.

Responsibilities include establishing retailer programs, supporting sales teams, preparing test plans and regulatory reports, and staying current with US cosmetics laws and regulations. Strong regulatory expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as chemistry, microbiology, etc.
• Knowledge/experience with regulations relating to cosmetics, personal care and/or household products.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory affairs desktop services and retailer programs for US customers.
• Train regulatory personnel to ensure consistent and accurate deliverables.
• Establish and implement retailer programs for products within the business unit.
• Modify programs based on client updates.
• Provide technical support to sales teams and account managers.
• Support tracking of open and incoming orders for local C&H laboratory.
• Prepare test plans, protocols and SOPs per regulatory/client requirements.
• Prepare regulatory/test reports including retailer reports and ingredient/product label reviews.
• Train and lead sensory and consumer panel testing plans.
• Stay updated on federal/state laws and regulations applicable to cosmetics and personal care.
• Create/review/send test reports as required.
