Nearmap is seeking a Regulatory Affairs leader to own and steer the insurance regulatory program. You will coordinate filing lifecycles, work with actuarial and data science teams, and guide advisory organization registrations across states.

The role partners with Legal and Insurance Product to ensure filings align with product strategy. You will build playbooks, track industry activity, and communicate regulatory implications to product and sales teams.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in property and casualty rate filings, regulatory affairs, or state product management.
• Hands-on experience managing complete filing lifecycles and interacting with state regulators.
• California experience is a significant advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in insurance, actuarial science, public policy, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsabilités

• Own Nearmap regulatory strategy, including where to register and what to file.
• Lead objection response strategy with insights from actuarial and data science teams.
• Manage advisory organization relationships and submission requirements with regulators.
• Develop advisory organization registration strategy and keep it updated with evolving regulations.
• Collaborate with Legal on privilege, contracts, and compliance in filings.
• Own rate filing approach end-to-end to support carrier programs.
• Coordinate filing materials library with model memos and methodology docs.
• Maintain state-by-state filing requirements and confidentiality rules.
• Monitor filings across states and maintain a database of rating plans.
• Help shape rules by tracking NAIC/NMIC/NCOIL activity and advising product teams.
