Job summary

Nearmap is seeking a senior actuary to own the filing evidence for property and casualty rate filings across states, working with AI and regulatory teams. You will develop exhibits, validation metrics, and state-specific analyses to support pricing decisions and defend regulator objections.

You'll lead cross-functional collaboration, maintain filing materials, and ensure compliance with NAIC checklists while helping customers understand filing-ready attributes and their impact on pricing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of property and casualty actuarial experience with pricing, ratemaking, or rate filings.
• ACAS or FCAS credentialing strongly preferred; candidates with ratemaking experience considered.
• Experience preparing actuarial exhibits for rate filings and responding to regulator objections.
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to produce filing materials: memos, validation metrics, and exhibits.
• Document state requirements for model validation and NAIC checklist compliance.
• Turn model outputs into filing evidence and respond to regulator objections with robust analysis.
• Manage SERFF accounts and maintain filing materials and exchanges.
